Joliet Junior College Gay/Straight Alliance
Welcome to JJC's GSA page. This site is intended to make GLB and T students feel safe and not so alone (seeing as how Joliet isn't all that queer-friendly). Though college is supposed to be a liberating time where students can find themselves and their true identities, that doesn't always mean that everyone will be so accepting and compassionate. The goal of any GSA is to give queer students, staff, and supporters sanctuary from people who are close-minded.
The GSA is open to everyone so feel free to come to a meeting. Yes, even straight people are allowed :-P (though you don't need to go out of your way to announce you're straight) We pretty much discuss anything from gay bashing to religion to whatever needs to be talked about!
